The Exactpro team was delighted to join the celebration of the 5th anniversary of Software Tester’s Day on 8-9 September. The event was hosted by GeoSTQB, the official member board of ISTQB in Georgia.

The two-day program featured keynote talks, hands-on workshops, and engaging panel discussions by both Georgian and internationally recognised software testing professionals, focusing on the latest trends and research findings in the software testing industry over the past five years. Attendees had the opportunity to build valuable relationships, share knowledge, and expand their networks with an After Party rounding out the event.

Exactpro CEO & Co-founder Iosif Itkin and HR Manager Lana Akopian represented the company in the line-up of esteemed local and international speakers.

You are NOT a QA

Keynote

“Some of the most advanced modern AI techniques are based on words. But there is a problem with human language. The same words can mean different things for different people. This presentation focuses on the words Quality Assurance and Software Testing. The distinction was already clearly explained by Michael Bolton in his post "Testers: Get Out of the Quality Assurance Business". Can we add anything on the subject? No, we can't. Yet, almost 15 years later, people keep using these words, but do they mean what we think they mean?”

Automation in Software Testing for Stock Exchanges and Trading Platforms

Workshop

"When one deals with complex distributed non-deterministic systems – such as the ones supporting global capital markets – the need to have frameworks to explore their quality becomes paramount. The sheer volumes of data and the amount of workflows, data streams, instruments, parameters and participants all need to be accounted for when developing test scenarios. In turn, the test scenarios need to be comprehensive and effective. It is possible to use machine learning (subsymbolic AI) to assist in generating and optimising test libraries, as well as in analysing test results. Applied to financial markets, AI-enabled automation is key to efficient test coverage and the capacity to meet fast-evolving client needs in a timely manner."
