Anna Lozyakova, Senior Business Analyst

Meet Anna Lozyakova, Senior Business Analyst at Exactpro, as she talks about her transformation from an IT novice into a seasoned professional. Find out how a hilarious moment at a corporate party turned into a memorable chapter of her career.

— I joined Exactpro in 2017 as QA Analyst with almost no experience in IT, but with confidence that I’m going to learn a lot of new things. I also realised that I would have to work hard and smart to be a part of the information technology world. During these years, I participated in different projects and became a Senior QA – all thanks for the support from my managers and colleagues, and the very friendly, open-minded atmosphere.

Then, two years ago, I got the opportunity to try myself as an IT Business Analyst. Now I work closely with clients and help them to build a cloud-based platform for trade reporting. I get to use all the knowledge, experience, and the analytical and other skills I acquired when working as a QA analyst.

My experience proves that doing new things can be challenging but that’s what improves us and opens wider horizons.

Anna Lozyakova, Senior Business Analyst

Shortly after I joined the company, I won the people’s choice award at my first corporate party with a story about embarrassing myself in a conversation with a client who had visited our delivery location. During our team-building event, he took me off-guard with a question (I simply didn’t yet have enough English skills to understand him). But, struggling to save the small talk, I finally came up with something incredibly ridiculous😅

I’m pretty sure that that conversation was perfectly insignificant in this person’s life, but I will always remember that evening and the professional and personal progress that followed. Failures – analysed with a cool head and warm heart – certainly help us to improve.

In my free time, I like walking and hiking, playing table football (foosball), playing music, reading books and getting inspired by the sea and sailing.
Keep calm and carry on, cheers 🙂
